Delete your account and your data

From the app, in a minute

1. Open Audered and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll down to Delete account.
4. Confirm. There is no undo.

Without the app installed

If you have already uninstalled it, or you cannot get into your account, write to privacy@audered.com from the same email address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account.

Using that address is how we check the account is yours. If you write from a different one, we will have to ask for some other proof before deleting anything; we do not want anyone deleting someone else's account.

We process it within 30 days at most, usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

• Your account and your sign-in details.
• Your name, your email and your profile photo.
• Your link with your partner, and any games in progress.
• The cards in your hand and your history.
• Your device token for notifications.

What does not, and why

Cards you already played your partner stay in their history. A game belongs to both of you, and those cards are their memory too: deleting them would be deleting part of someone else's account. They will appear without your name or photo.

Backups take a while to expire. We take a daily database backup and rotate them. Your data may sit inside one of those backups for a while after deletion, until that backup is removed. They are not used for anything except restoring the service if it breaks.

Whatever the law requires us to keep. If you bought the deck, the billing records are held by Apple or Google, not us, and are governed by their policies.

If you only want to unlink

Deleting your account is not the only way out. From Settings you can also undo the link with your partner and keep your account, in case what you want is to start fresh with someone else.
